Dear Peanut,
You turned 3 months last week. I put off writing you a letter last week because I was trying to soak you all in. Momma started back to work today and while I really missed you, you had a great day with Daddy. Developmentally, I think this time apart will really help you to grow. Don't get me wrong, I hated leaving you this morning but we both had a good day which made me feel less guilty.
At three months you weighed in at 11 pounds, 15.2 ounces. Daddy and I decided we could round that up to 12 pounds. You've started to outgrow your 3 month clothing - mostly your sleepers so I have been packing up the "too little" clothes and bringing out the next size. I feel confident in saying that you have a better wardrobe than me. However, you drool a lot right now so that's probably a good thing.
This month we stayed at home mostly but you did get to spend a lot of time with family. Probably the highlight of my month was seeing you spend time with your Great Grandma Alma at her 89.5 birthday party. Her face lit up each time she'd hold you and you even gave her a few of your precious smiles. You are definitely a charmer little one. You also spent 3 days in a hotel with your Aunt Molly. I now call her the baby whisperer. Momma had to work her last days at her old job and you and Aunt Moose got to come along for the ride :)
Other things I want you to know about yourself (and I want to remember) - you have the sweetest coy smile right now. Life is on your own terms and if you don't want to smile, you will definitely hold back. You love your Daddy and grin whenever he comes home though. You also have him wrapped around your finger. If you're bored of rocking, playing, swinging, circles or anything else, you are not afraid to let us know. Some people would call this demanding but I think you just know what you want. You still don't like a pacifier, you cry when we put you in the carseat but are calm as soon as we pick the seat up.
I love you sweet baby and can't wait to spend the next month with you.
Love, Mommy
